Cheap Home made games and toys for your baby and toddler"
As a first time mom, I was a "toy enthusiast". I spent hundreds of
dollars on toys. However, my boy couldn't care less about any of them.
He had one or at max two favorite toys and there were at least 100 more
toys, lying around the house, that never interested him.
I never understood why? They made noise, played music, had colorful
lights, how can it not interest him? The answer is simple. Babies are
little humans after all. They get "bored" very easily.
Next time you see your toddler throwing a fit in the toy aisle and picks
up an exciting toy, keep in mind that he will loose interest after few
minutes of playing with it.
I then started coming up with toys and games at home (yes, I am a stay
at home mom). They should be cheap, should have novelty, it should be
simple so that my boy can engage himself and should help us spend
quality time together.
Here is what I came across and would love to share with you all. It is a
collection of everything I gathered till now. All the ideas I found
useful, coming from my great grandma, the stranger at Starbucks, other
moms in the local library, family at the beach and several online
sources.
